Obituary for Barbara C Lee Barbara Ann Cox Lee, 81, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, October 31, at Helmwood Healthcare Center. Barbara was born July 12, 1937, in Hodgenville, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Kentucky.

On August 20, 1960, she married Harry Grimes Lee of Elizabethtown. Barbara was a teacher her entire life and retired as a math and algebra teacher at T.K. Stone, where she taught for most of her career. Barbara and Harry traveled extensively and loved treasure hunting at yard sales and flea markets on their journeys.

Never one to sit idle, she filled her time with her love for books, sewing, music, and helping others. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and her parents, Jacob and Ruby Read Cox. Survivors include two sons, Robin Kendall Lee of Elizabethtown, and Garry Lynn Lee (Lisa Thomas) of Nashville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Gregory Lee (Erin Larkin) and Morgan Lee of Elizabethtown; two great grandchildren, Avery and Harrison Lee; and a brother, Thomas “Buddy” Cox (Betty) of Smyrna, Tennessee.

There will be no service and burial will be in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are being handled by Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
