Barbara’s Obituary Barbara Catherine “Cathy” Parker, age 56, of Pittsville died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was born in Salisbury and was the daughter of Barbara E. (Brittingham) Parker and the late Johnie Blaine Parker. Cathy had worked for Vernon Powell for 40 years and loved her VP family.

She was a member of Line United Methodist Church, and had served on many church committees. She and her sister Nancy served as Pianist for Line and Bethel U.M. Church. Cathy was also a member of the Hallmark Ornament Keepsake Collectors Club.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara E. Parker of Pittsville; a sister, Nancy P. Ennis and her husband Keith of Pittsville; a godson, Nicholas Brittingham; a goddaughter, Madelyn Baum (Joe); her special god niece and god nephews who were the apple of her eye, Savannah Brittingham and Abram and Jude James; sisters of the heart, Nicole Oliphant (DJ) and Kate James (Josh) and a large extended family and her dog Maxwell. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday, January 25 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville with Rev. Douglas Griffith officiating.

Friends may call on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6pm to 8pm and on Friday one hour before the service. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Willards. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Line United Methodist Church, C/O Karen Bailey, P.O. Box 398, Pittsville, MD 21850 or Believe in Tomorrow House by the Sea, P.O. Box 3627, Ocean City, MD 21843.
