Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Crowder Church of Christ with Stanley Hyde officiating.

Burial will follow at Whitefield Cemetery in Whitefield, Oklahoma. Barbara was born on April 22, 1927 in Clouds Creek, Oklahoma to H.O. and Eula (Stone) Quick. She married Raymond Allen on February 3, 1946 in Maysville, Arkansas.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading and camping. She was a member of the Crowder Church of Christ. Survivors include six sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Carolyn Allen of Kinta, OK, Larry and Carolyn Allen of Indianola, OK, Darrell and Dora Allen of Oktaha, OK, Kent and Dee Ann Allen of Blocker, OK, Terry and Shelia Allen of Blocker, Ok and Duane Allen of McAlester; one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Glenn Ogden of Quinton, OK; 17 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Brantley of Kerrville, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.O. and Eula Quick; husband, Raymond Allen; grandsons, Paul Ogden and Lee Ogden; great-granddaughters, Mackennon Ogden and Emma Ogden; brother, Buford Quick and sister Lois Crews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
