BARBARA JEAN (GREEN) SCHLOSS, 84, of Port Jefferson passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11 AM at her residence. She was born on November 3, 1933 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Herbert and Mildred (Evans) Green. On December 20, 1955, Barbara married Richard Schloss, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Billy J. Schloss of Port Jefferson and George “Bud” Schloss of Sidney; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four siblings, Lilian Fletcher of Indiana, Don Green of Bellefontaine, John (Jerry) Green of East Liberty and Kathy Abushi of Columbus. Barbara was preceded in death by a son, Richard “Bid” Schloss. Mrs. Schloss retired after 27 years working at Copeland Corporation.

Barbara was a former employee from the Spot Restaurant in which she use to spank a young Rob Lowes butt for running up and down the stairs. She loved her cats, playing bingo and enjoyed spending time with her family. In honoring Barbara wishes, no funeral services will be held.

Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Memorial contributions may be made to her son Billy Schloss P.O. Box 35 Port Jefferson, OH 45360 to help defray cost of outstanding medical bills. Condolences may be expressed to the Schloss family at our website, www.
