Obituary for Barbara Smith (Head) Barbara J. Smith, 76, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 in Paramount Senior Living at Chambersburg Road, Fayetteville. She was born December 27, 1941 in Chambersburg, PA. Barbara was a daughter of the late Elmer and Beatrice Rhinehart Head.

She retired from Shippensburg University and was a graduate of the former Shippensburg High School. Barbara is survived by her son, G. Todd Smith; and one grandson, Sheldon Smith both of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, David and Charles Newell both of Shippensburg; one sister, Charlotte Hoover of VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Alexander and Judy Snyder.
