She was born on November 11, 1955, in Green Bay to William and Betty (Barrett) Panure. Barbara graduated from St. Joseph Academy.

She was employed for 30 years by Ace Baking. On October 6, 1979, Barbara married Rollie Nienow. Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She enjoyed family time at NASCAR racing, as well as her trips to Las Vegas – she loved to play the slot machines and Bingo. She was a long-time member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Barbara’s faith was very important to her.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Zak) Esterling and Holly (Jesse) Mertens; four grandchildren, Jacob and Kaitlyn Esterling, and Blake and Chase Mertens; two brothers, Bob (Lynn) Panure and Chuck (Holly) Panure; two sisters, Nancy (Steve) Virt and Mary Sue Winkel; Rollie’s parents, Elmer and Polly Nienow; and his siblings, Ann Cartier (David Jones), Julie (Randy) Krause, Al (Susan) Nienow, Joel Nienow, Sue Ellen Nienow, John (Sherry) Nienow, Steve Nienow, and Tom Nienow; Godmother, Mary Zingler; Godchildren, Shane Nienow, Ryan Panure, and Bob (Nicole) Winkel; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie; her son, Shawn Michael Nienow; her parents, William Panure and Betty Panure; and brother-in-law, David Nienow. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave.

, from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, followed by a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. Friends may also call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 2771 Oakwood Drive, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating.
