Obituary of Barbara Havens Barbara “Oolie” J. Havens, age 70, of Whiting NJ, and formerly of Elmer NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Aristacare in Whiting. She was born in Saratoga Springs NY on November 30, 1947. She married Oliver “Bud” Havens, Jr. (her soulmate) in 1970 and the couple has three daughters.

Oolie was a proud homemaker and lived for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards and board games, especially scrabble. She also liked bowling, making different crafts and in her later years found a love for reading.

She was always there for others, had a huge heart and was extremely giving, baking brownies for all she knew. Oolie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Barbara is predeceased by her father Fred Bull.

She leaves behind her adored husband Oliver “Bud” Havens, Jr. of Whiting NJ; her three daughters, Candi Havens of Wilmington DE, Tasha Fernandez and husband Randy of New Egypt NJ, and Joy Havens of Metuchen NJ; her four grandchildren Tori, Lexi, Jesse and Alexa; her two great-grandchildren Olivia and Erin; her mother Barbara Bull of Saratoga Springs NY; her six siblings, George Bull and wife Diane, Grace Ferris and husband John, Fred Bull and wife Patty, Nancy Foote and husband Rene, Patti Massey and Tom Olsen, and Jan Cullen and husband Rory; along with several extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1PM to 5PM and again on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 11AM to 12PM at the Tilghman Funeral Home, located at 52 Main Street, New Egypt NJ 08533. A funeral service will be held at 4PM on Sunday.

Interment will be held at 12:30PM on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Barbara “Oolie’s” memory to the The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration; AFTD, Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
