Barksdale “Baldy” Douglas Roddy, Jr., 74, widower of Betty Jo West Roddy, passed away on February 3, 2019 at his home. A native of Greenville County, son of the late Barksdale Douglas Roddy, Sr., and Ida Wood Roddy, he was a retired employee of Harper Construction and a member of Pelham First Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Kristie R. Rivera (Anthony) of the home; one nephew raised in the home as a son, Joey four sisters, Gail Isgett (Ray) of Florence, Marilyn Faye McCracken of Lake City, Carolyn Barnio (Bobby) of Columbia and Sherry R. Jones of North Carolina and three grandchildren, Lili and Lincoln Rivera and Tony Fischer.

Mr. Roddy was predeceased by two sisters, Grace Vassey and Johnnie Roddy. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Pelham First Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Patrick Clark and Pastor Phil Pierce. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Kristie Rivera.
