Barry’s Obituary Barry Evan Hughes, 75 of Lake Crystal, died March 25, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato. Memorial service will be held 11:00a.m., Monday, April 15, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with military honors will be at Jerusalem Cemetery.

Barry was born July 17, 1943 to Robert and Mary (Evans) Hughes in Mankato. He graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1962. He served in the US Army as a mechanic from 1962-1965.

For several years, Barry worked at Kaye Corporation in Mankato. In his free time, Barry enjoyed working on cars. He was a street rod enthusiast and built many over the years.

Barry is survived by his children, Barry Hughes, Nicole (Brad) Winkelman; grandchildren, Noah, Amelia, Sophia, Logan, and Ruby; sister-in-law, Marie Hughes; and brother-in-law, John Robert Oberg. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alice Oberg and Gloria Hughes; and brother, Lenny Hughes.
