Becky’s Obituary Rebecca Ruth “Becky” Koile, age 78, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Becky was born March 23, 1940 in Harlingen, Texas, daughter of the late Harry T. Hollon and Athena Butler Hollon. She graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School in Elsa, Texas, and attended a Business School in Texas before moving to Joplin in 1961.

She furthered her education at Franklin Tech, and later Crowder College in Neosho. She worked for St. John’s Hospital, Freeman Hospital, and she retired from Wal-Mart where she was a manager in the fabric department, and snack-bar. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and had a strong faith.

She will be greatly missed by many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Keith “Bubba” Hollon, and a son-in-law, Buk Buchanan. Survivors include her husband of nearly 62 years, Clayton D. Koile; daughters, Beverly Ruth Buchanan of Marshall, Arkansas, Brenda Sue Bright and husband Stacey of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Kimberly Beth Koile-Placencia and husband Pete of St. Cloud, Florida, and Kristi Kay Weston and husband Justin of Joplin; 11 grandchildren, Mark Buchanan, John Buchanan, Cody Buchanan, Darrell Booher, Christopher Booher, Kyla Bright, Scotty Bright, Megan Placencia, Tucker Eads, Shaye Weston, and Drake Weston; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Tommie Sue Merriman and husband Dale of Houston, Texas; brother, Bill Hollon and wife Cynthia of Bryan, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Ministers Brad Holman, Shay Neumann, Katie Kiem, and Kathleen Bly officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
