Ron’s Obituary Ronald Dale “Ron” Macy, age 71, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Spring River Christian Village. Ron was born December 2, 1947 in Joplin, son of the late Junior Lee Macy and Betty Phillips Macy of Joplin. He grew up in Joplin, and even though he was disabled all of his life, he still had a positive impact on everyone he came to know.

He was a loving son, brother, and friend to many. He enjoyed the Super Heroes and had a collection of shirts, caps, and other memorabilia. In addition to his father, Ron was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Macy, and a nephew, Jamie Settle.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Macy of Joplin; a sister, Patricia Settle and husband Frank of Joplin; a niece, Sarah Ann Macy, and nephews Jon Settle and Peter Macy. He also had an extended family at Spring River where he resided the last two years. Funeral service will be Monday, February 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Forest Park Baptist Church Chapel with Frank Settle officiating.

Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery, Neosho. The family will receive friends in the Forest Park Baptist Church Chapel on Monday from 12:00 Noon until service time. Donations may be made to LUC Ranch in Lampe, Mo.
