Obituary for Douglas H Trostle Print Douglas H Trostle, age 73 passed away on February 9, 2019 at the Webb City Health & Rehab Center in Webb City, Mo. Douglas was born on April 12, 1945 in Sterling, Kansas. The son of Clinton & Alberta (Bonnet) Trostle.

Douglas grew up in Nickerson, Kansas and graduated from Nickerson High School in 1963. He then graduated from McPherson College in 1968. He farmed for many years in the Nickerson area.

He is survived by his wife Joyce. They enjoyed 39 years of marriage. Also surviving are two sons from a previous marriage, Lance, his wife, Diane, of McPherson, Ks, and Todd and his wife, Tiphani, of Nickerson, Ks; one step-son, Kim Stricker, and his wife, Bobbi, of St. George, Utah; one brother, Ron Trostle, of Littleton, Co; he leaves behind eight grandchildren, and seven great-grand children.

In addition to his parents, Douglas was preceded in death by one step-son, Kirk Stricker. A Celebration of Life will be held on March 10, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Salem Church of the Brethren in Nickerson, Kansas.
