Suzanne’s Obituary Suzanne Mary Rouse Daniel, age 65, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Freeman West after a sudden illness. Suzanne was born September 6, 1953 in Joplin, daughter of the late Paul Rouse and Dorothy Rinker Rouse. She has been a lifelong resident of Joplin, graduating from Joplin High School before receiving her degree in Art from Missouri Southern.

She would later earn her Master’s in Art Education from Pittsburg State University. She was an art teacher with the Joplin R VIII School District for the past 42 years, officially retiring in 2015, but she was still teaching duel credit classes at Joplin High School. She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband of over 40 years, Harold Daniel; sons, Brenton Daniel of Denver, Colorado, Shawn Daniel and Casey Daniel both of Joplin; a brother, Michael Rouse and wife Janice of Joplin; a sister, Patti Shade and husband Mike also of Joplin; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be Friday, March 22, 2019 at 10:00 am. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Charles Dunn officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Catholic Charities.
