Lois’ Obituary Lois I. Stewart, age 94, Joplin, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 at Spring River Christian Village after an illness. Lois was born December 2, 1924 in Joplin to the late Alonzo Ferguson and Hazel Brown Ferguson and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life. A homemaker, Lois enjoyed the time spent with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

She married Eugene V. Stewart on March 24, 1946 in Joplin. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Stewart and a brother, Edgar Ferguson.

Survivors include her sons, Chris Stewart and wife, Karen, Joplin, Larry Stewart and wife, Charlene, Joplin, Richard Stewart, Augusta, Kansas; grandchildren, Tommy Stewart, Scott Stewart, Matt Stewart, Trent Stewart, Jason Stewart, Lauri Green, Carry DeGruson; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Graveside services are planned for Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery. Rev.

Jeff D. Martin will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
