Joel’s Obituary Joel Jerrimie Diel, age 33, Joplin, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at his home after a sudden illness. Joel was born June 17, 1985 in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Joel Carter and Donna Diel. He moved to Joplin as a teen, and graduated from Joplin High School.

He has worked for NCO, Rent-a Center, and most recently was with Bauer Supply Company. He grew up being a member of First United Methodist Church where he was active with the Youth Group. Joel was recently attending St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Joel was preceded in death by a brother, Jerrimie Carter. Survivors include his wife, Jessica Beck Diel; daughter, Cynthia Diel of Joplin, Anastasha Bryant of Columbus, Kansas; son, Nikoli Diel of Joplin; 1/2 brothers, Brandon Thibodeau and Roland Thibodeau, Jr.; nephews, Marcus Carter, Jordan Carter; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
