Billie’s Obituary Billie Ann Bennett, age 74, Joplin, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital. Billie was born November 11, 1944 in Joplin to the late William H. Giett and Mildred M. Youngblood Giett and had lived in the Joplin area all of her life. Billie was a licensed beautician and worked as a hairdresser for several years.

She joined the staff at Oxford Home Health as a human res representative and worked there for the next twenty years. Billie then worked for Integrity Home Health for twelve years, retiring as a supervisor in 2015. She was a longtime member at Central Christian Center, where she was active in children’s church and several senior groups.

Billie enjoyed time with her family and will be missed by everyone who knew her. She married Terry W. Bennett on November 12, 1963 in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives at the home.

Additional survivors include a son, Grant Bennett and his wife, Cindy Riechman-Bennett, Joplin; a sister, Julie Casebolt, Newport News, Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew, Allison, Amy, Tristian, Kaeden; and several other extended family members and many friends. In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by a son, Greg, in 2001. Memorial services are planned for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 30, at Central Christian Center.

Rev. Dr. Hank Deslatte will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
