Belvery’s Obituary It is with great sadness that the family of Belvery White Duncan announces her passing Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the age of 78. Belvery will be lovingly remembered by her husband Huey Duncan, whom she had spent 56 loving years with and her son David. Belvery was born July 25, 1940 in Philadelphia MS to Clyde Lee White and Novelle (Barrett) White.

She graduated from Philadelphia High school and University of Southern Mississippi with a BS in Education. For the past 53 years Belvery has been a long-time resident of Amite LA. Belvery was a longstanding member of Sharon Missionary Baptist church in Amite, LA.

Belvery taught school for 18 years, Insurance Agent for 11 years, and worked for Duncan and Associate Right away Consulting with her husband for 20 years. She was an avid Motorcyclist enthusiast and toured all 48 states and most of Canada as well as being a long-standing member of the Holiday Rambler Pine-belt motor home club, both of which created long time friendships all over the country. Belvery will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend Huey and her son David (Catherine).

Her granddaughter Sydney Duncan-Wilmoth (Brandon) and 3 great grandsons, her sister Sylvia White Mars, and sister in laws Anna Lofton White and Joyce White and many nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Belvery was preceded in death by her son, Walter Craig Duncan, parents Clyde and Norvelle White, brothers Chadwic White, Hassill White, L.C. White and sister Vonceil White Lety. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 5p.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Visitation 8:00 a.m. until Religious services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Services conducted by Bro. James Thornhill.
