Obituary for Benita I. Mauricio Benita I. Mauricio went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2018, at the age of 98, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on March 21, 1920 in Lockhart, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband Miguel H. Mauricio, Sr., parents, Tomas and Santos Ibarra, and sisters Juanita Flores and Teresa Hernandez Castro.
Benita is survived by her loving children, Miguel I. Mauricio, Jr. (Abigail), Julia Vasquez, Gloria M. Gonzalez and Edna De La Cruz; 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren, and other extended family members. Benita enjoyed singing and dancing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for being so loving and kindhearted, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral procession to depart the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
