Obituary for Benjamin “Ben” R. Cox NEW PALESTINE – Benjamin “Ben” R. Cox, age 61, of New Palestine, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at home. He was born on November 13, 1956 in Indianapolis as the son of Wilford S. and Velma L. (Plummer) Cox. Ben graduated from Scecina High School in 1975.

He married his high school sweetheart Susan M. (Bennett) on September 13, 1975 in Indianapolis. He was an automotive refinisher for 32 years at Dellen Oldsmobile, Ed Martin, Lockhart and Church Bros. Ben was a volunteer FF/EMT for New Palestine Fire Department.

He enjoyed woodworking, model airplanes, boating, camping, fishing, and just being outdoors. He loved his animals. Ben is survived by his wife, Sue; daughter, Amanda S. Cox of Indianapolis; brothers, Mark Cox of Greencastle and Tom Kimberlin of KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Sandy Chadwell and Judy Hammond. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kristin Bagley, Hancock Hospice Nurse Christy. Per Ben’s wishes there will be no services.
