Benny Boyd Hughes, Sr., age 76, of Dawson Springs, KY, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Princeton Health & Rehab, Princeton, KY. Mr. Hughes was born on March 18, 1942 in Providence, KY to the late Leslie Elmer Hughes and Cleo Parrish Hughes. He retired with P&M Coal Company in Raton, New Mexico as a Master Electrician.

Surviving family members include his wife of 55 years ~ Wanda Crowell Hughes of Dawson Springs, KY, three sons ~ Benny Boyd Hughes, Jr., of Paducah, KY, Brent (Melanie) Hughes of Nortonville, KY, and Brice (Heather) Hughes of Dawson Springs, KY, five grandchildren ~ Amber Hughes Epley of Drakesboro, KY, Connor Hughes of Nortonville, KY, Bradley (Byron) Hughes, Benjamine Brice “Ben” Hughes, and Ally Nicole Hughes of Dawson Springs, KY, a sister ~ Wanda Hughes Whitledge of Madisonville, KY, and several nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers ~ Jack and Brian Hughes, and two sisters ~ Betty Hughes Meazles and Joyce Hughes Ressett. A visitation for Mr. Benny Boyd Hughes Sr., will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, Dawson Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Randall Rogers. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Dawson Springs, KY.

Active pallbearers include Benny Hughes, Jr., Brent Hughes, Brice Hughes, Byron Hughes, Connor Hughes and Ben Hughes.
