Bernadette (Gura) Kramer, 82 Youngstown – There will be a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Dr. Boardman, Father Philip Rogers officiating, for Bernadette (Gura) Kramer, 82. of Youngstown, who passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born April 13, 1936 in Youngstown, the daughter of John William and Helen (Repko) Gura and was a lifelong area resident.

Bernadette was a 1954 graduate of Lowellville High School and began her career at Mahoning National Bank’s Commercial Loan Department. She then was employed by Ford Motor Credit Company, became a supervisor and retired in 1996 after 36 years of service. She was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church participating in many activities and volunteering in various ministries at the church.

Bernadette had many passions throughout her life. She enjoyed dancing, attending concerts and plays, reading, traveling and taking bus trips to casinos and other special events. Bernadette will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her smile, personality and happiness.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Marilyn (Richard) Miks of Las Vegas and Loretta (Richard) Pedersen of Carson City , NV, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David H. Kramer who passed away December 25, 2016. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 10:00 am until 10:50 am in the gathering space at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, Boardman.

Inurnment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Boardman. Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Thompson-Filicky Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio. Bernadette’s family wishes to convey heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at Brookdale of Austintown for the care and comfort provided to her and her family during her stay.
