Bernice Clayton, aged 100, of Old Bridge passed away July 27, 2018 at Preferred Care Nursing and Rehabilitation, Old Bridge. Born and raised in South Amboy, She was a lifelong city resident. In earlier years, Mrs. Clayton was employed as a film processor for E.U. DuPont, Parlin.

Mrs. Clayton spent many years as a homemaker, a career she adored. She is the last of eight siblings, leaving a grand legacy for her family to cherish. Mrs. Clayton was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Sirius Chapter.

Mrs. Clayton is predeceased by her husband, Harold Raymond Clayton. Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2017 from 3 to 5 PM at Whiteley Funeral Home, 241 Bordentown Ave. , South Amboy.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the funeral home at a time to be announced. Burial will be at Christ Church Cemetery, South Amboy. .
