Bessie M. Kelley Prosser, age 95, resident of Eads, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Arlington, Tennessee after a short illness. Funeral Services for Mrs. Prosser will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Kevin Carroll officiating.

Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery at Arlington. A visitation for Mrs. Prosser will be from 12 to 1 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Bessie was born December 3, 1922 in Fayette County, Tennessee and received her education at Brunswick and Bolton schools. She retired from Arlington Developmental Center where she had worked as a seamstress for 18 years. Bessie was an active member of Eads Baptist Church for many years.

She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening. Bessie is survived by two daughters, Ruby Hannah, Linda Burton; three grandsons, Tim L. Hannah, Sr., Mark J. Hannah (Dawn), Phillip Burton (Autumn); and three great-grandsons, Tim L. “TJ” Hannah, Jr. (Rachel), John Riley Hannah (Lovelyn), Nathan Hannah; her great-granddaughter, Shyanne Burton; three great great-grandsons, Tim L. Hannah, III (Jax), John Michael Hannah, Zoe Hannah; two sisters-in-law, Martha Kelley, Martha Prosser; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim R. “Tealie” Prosser; her parents, John Wesley Kelley and Anna Beatrice Parr Kelley; two brothers, Clarence W. Kelley, Sr., John W. Kelley, Jr.; and two sisters, Virgie Lee Joyner and Ellen Avant.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tim Hannah, Mark Hannah, Phillip Burton, John Kelley, Michael Kelley and Danny Prosser.
