OBITUARY Betty C. Mercer March 8, 1955 – September 9, 2018 Betty C. Mercer, 63, of Wilburn Lane, Greeneville, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at her home. She was a retired LPN. Mrs. Mercer was an active member of Sheltering Arms Ministries.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years: Gene Mercer; sons and daughters-in-law: Greg Knight, Jimmy and Anna Mercer, and Jerry and Wendy Mercer; daughter and son-in-law: Tina and Paul Rice; adopted daughter: Vicky Moyers; grandchildren and spouses: Lance and Amanda Rice, Sarah and T.R. Lowe, Casey Rice, Kierra Rice, Tara Mercer, Don Fox, Misty Mercer, Tiffany Hicks, Jacob and Courtney Mercer, Faith Mercer, Haley Gosnell, Brooke Gosnell, and Jimmy E. Mercer; great grandchildren: Chloe Rice (special) Jazmine Skinner, Dallon Strong, Issac Skinner, Raylan Frank, Daniel Fox, and Todd Sturm; sister: Alice Cline of Illinois; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack and Reva Shrader of Mocksville, North Carolina, Bill and Phyllis Shrader of Snow Camp, North Carolina, and Clarence and Brenda Shrader of Lashmeet, West Virginia; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Pearl Landers, Lois Shelton, Robert Mercer, Lola Nance, and Louise Nance; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and special friends: Lucille Harrison and Melissa (Bratchild) Mathews. She was the daughter of the late Augusta Bailey Shrader and Sadie Brewer Shrader and was preceded in death by a son: Donnie Knight, Jr.; sister: Hazel Cline; and brothers: Chester Shrader, Charles Shrader, and Danny Shrader. There will be no formal services.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
