Betty Christine Wilson, best known as “Nanny”, passed away on March 19, 2019 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. She was the daughter of the late Stella Mae and Rocky Woodrum, one of 22 children. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by 20 brothers and sisters.

Nanny enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, gardening and quilting, not to mention her unwavering acceptance of others and her feisty personality. She is survived by her brother Johnny Woodrum; her four children, Timothy Wilson, Kathleen Ireland, Annette Kidd and Wayne Wilson; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Midkiff Cemetery in Sumerco where she was laid to rest next to her mother. To say she will be missed wouldn’t do justice. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Betty Christine Wilson please visit our Sympathy Store.
