Betty Helen Kolbe, 89, of Orwigsburg, passed away April 24 at her residence. Betty was born in Cressona, May 17, 1928, a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Mohl Koch. She was the widow of Arno Lester Kolbe.

Betty was formerly employed by Sylray as a machine operator, volunteered at Orwigsburg Center for 20 years and was a den mother for Troop 624 in Orwigsburg. She is survived by a son, David Kolbe, Orwigsburg; grandchildren, Michael Kolbe, Schuylkill Haven, Krysta Kolbe, Breckenridge, Colo. , Steven Kolbe, Cumbola, and Kaitlynn Kolbe, Orwigsburg; great-granddaughter, Olivia Kolbe; brother, John Koch, Lebanon.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
