Candida Marie Webber, 67, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday, June 27th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St. Born in New Philadelphia, PA on June 23, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William & Mary (Pretti) Dooley. She was the loving wife of William E. Webber. The couple shared 43 years of marriage.

Candida was a 1969 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville, and a 1972 graduate of Sacred Heart Nursing School, Allentown. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville. Candida was formerly employed as a registered nurse by Coaldale State Hospital, Leader Nursing Home, and Dr. Robert Boran & Associates.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her daughter, Jennifer Basom & husband, Blake, Mechanicsburg, grandsons: Landon & Emmett, and family & friends. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by aunts, Margaret Dooley, Catherine Dooley, and Mary Brennan. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville on Tuesday, July 3 at 11 a.m. Visitation with the family will occur from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at the church on Tuesday.

Interment will be privately held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in Candida’s memory be made to the Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital – 1249 Cocoa Avenue, Suite 115, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.
