Betty J. Wert, 90, of Palmyra passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the home of her daughter. Born July 10, 1928 in Pine Creek Township, Clinton County, she was a daughter of the late Orvis P. and Beatrice M. (Farley) Cryder. She was the widow of Charles D. Wert since November 2001 and was also preceded in death by siblings George Cryder, Edward Cryder, Margaret Noltee, and Ethel Cryder and great grandson Mikey Kinkley, Jr

She was a former 18 year employee of Agway, retired from American Water Company, Hershey, and was a member of Paxton Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her children Charles L. Wert of Florida, Deborah Varner of Palmyra, and Vickie Mae Whritenour of Grantville; brother John Cryder; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Buse Funeral Home, 145 North Grant Street, Palmyra preceded by a viewing from 10:00 AM.

Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
