OBITUARY Betty Jean Gravitt November 17, 1931 – September 4, 2018 Betty Jean Gravitt, 86, of Sam Cove Rd. , Robbinsville, N.C., passed away Tuesday morning, September 4, 2018 at Townsend Park Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Gravitt was born in Calhoun, Georgia daughter of the late A.R. Dobson and Annie Laura Dobson.

She was retired from Lockheed in Marietta, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.R. Dobson and Annie Laura Dobson; her husband, Jerry Gravitt; a son, Richard Cochran; a grandson, Russell Cochran. Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Gravitt Rooney and husband Steve; grandchildren, Emma Rooney, Katelin Cummings and husband Zac, Noah Rooney, Ryan Cochran; a sister, Willene Squires and husband Lamar; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in the Owen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.
