OBITUARY Betty Jean Honeycutt October 24, 1932 – December 23, 2018 BETTY JEAN HONEYCUTT- Hickory – Betty Jean Honeycutt, 86 of Hickory, passed away on December 23, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on October 24, 1932, everyone knew her as Burdee. She never met a stranger and loved everyone that she ever met.

One of her favorite things was to spend time with her family and to go shopping. One of her favorite sayings was “food tastes better when you eat it with someone else” Survivors include her granddaughter, Shannon Combs and husband Steven, great-granddaughter, Jaeleigh Combs, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Burris. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Catawba Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Pastor James Cooke officiating.

Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The Honeycutt family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
