Betty Jo Mobley Roberts, 86 of Piedmont, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Piedmont Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Celo Mobley; son, Rodney Roberts; and brother, Ralph Mobley. Mrs. Roberts is survived by her daughter, Arlene Staehly; sister, Doris Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, John, Samantha, Shanna and Shanya Staehly, Justin Roberts, Melissa Cantrell, and Tricia Roberts; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of First Baptist Church in Piedmont, where she taught Sunday School and lead the community benevolence outreach program for 30 years. She was a kind and giving person who could make so much out of so little. No matter where she lived during her life, she always put other’s needs above her own.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at First Baptist Church of Piedmont. Rev. Michael Ingram will officiate.
