Betty Jo Tarpinian (nee McBride), 91, of Grayslake, IL, passed away peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on March 20, 2018 at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. Betty was born July 9, 1926 in Cicero, to the late Morris and Beulah (nee Wells) McBride. Betty attended Sayer and Steinmetz High School in Chicago, IL.

She worked most of her life with her parents and for 36 years, with her husband John, at Wauconda Paint and Glass. Betty married Nishan John Tarpinian… Read More » on August 11, 1948 in Chicago, IL. Betty and John would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on August 11, 2018.

Betty was the beloved wife of John; loving mother of Paul (Debbi), John and Joel (Cathy); cherished grandma of Kyle and Evan; dear sister-in-law of Al Schwab and Bob Curtis; fond aunt, great aunt and cousin. She was preceded in death by her sister Jean E. Schwab on January 13, 2018. Visitation will be Sunday, July 8, 2018, from 11:00 am, to time of funeral service at 1:00 pm, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home 235 N. Main St., Wauconda, IL.
