Obituary for Betty Jones Hood Mrs. Betty Jones Hood, age 77, of Rock Hill, died Friday, May 25, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Wolfe Funeral Home, 314 Spratt Street in Fort Mill. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m., with Dennis Broderick officiating.

Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Indian Land. Born in the Gills Creek Township in Lancaster County, Betty was a daughter of the late Robert Vance Jones and Rena Vincent Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband after 53 years of marriage, Wallace Ward Hood (2013); and eleven brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her son, William Hood and his girlfriend Kim Horne of Peachland, N.C.; her daughter, Glenda Broderick and her husband, Dennis of Melbourne, Fla. ; three grandchildren, Kristin Gish (Ryan), and Timothy and Becky Broderick; and four great-grandchildren, Riley, Declan and Reagan Gish, and Clare Batista. Also surviving are her sister, Jean Underwood of East Freetown, N.Y.; and special nieces and nephews, Becky, Joshua, Kimberly, Jonathan and Michael Stewart.
