Betty (Hetzlein) Jones passed away after valiantly fighting lung cancer on Oct 17, 2018 at the age of 71. She was a strong, loving and devoted Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend and Nurse. She was compassionate and caring to anyone or anything that crossed her path and selfishly gave all that she had so others would not suffer or go without.

She enjoyed loving her animals and working in her gardens or just sitting around watching Animal Planet, wishing she could do more to help. Betty’s legacy will be carried on by her two sons, Rob Ventura with Irena Wantisiak and Erik Jones and wife Robin and granddaughters Olivia, Winter and Iris Jones. Betty is survived by her brother Carl Hetzlein and wife JoAnn with daughters Diana and Alaina, her brother Mike Hetzlein and wife Cathy with daughter Michelle and son Michael.

She is the daughter of deceased father and mother George and Pearl (Cross) Hetzlein, sister of deceased George Hetzlein (Binghamton, NY) and surviving wife Louise with sons George and Mark and daughter LeAnn. Betty leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews along with numerous extended family and friends whose lives she touched. We all love her and will miss her until we meet again.

Family and friends will be received on FRIDAY from 2-8 pm at the McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 1225 Chartiers Ave. , McKees Rocks, with a service held at 2:30 pm.
