Betty L. “Betsy” Wolfgang, 80, of Valley Road, Hegins, passed away peacefully Monday, October 29th at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. Born in Barry Township, October 21, 1938, a daughter of the late William and Verna Carl Lucas. Betsy was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Tremont.

Betsy’s life revolved around her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed cooking, baking and canning.

She will be remembered for her kindness, style, grace, generosity and her strong faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Wolfgang, 2015: daughter-in-law, Laurie Wolfgang; great grandson, Cole Wolfgang; sisters, Linda Morgan, Grace Madenford, Marion Deeter, Pauline Carter, Anna Mae Lucas, Verna Lucas; brothers, Lewis, Joe, William and Harold Lucas. Betsy is survived by one daughter, Melissa A. Wolfgang, Hegins; five sons, Robert T and his companion Lori of Dewey, AZ; Terry and his wife Peggy of Hegins; Scott of Joliett; Keith and his wife Bonnie of Joliett and Troy and his wife Rebecca of Good Spring; twelve grandchildren Danielle, Valerie, Robert K., Tamara, Angela, Adam, Matthew, Ashley, Scott, Jonathan, Jennifer, and Lauren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry, Henry, Robert and John Lucas; sisters, Shirley Deeter, Jean Kroh, Carol Ann Nelson, Janet Maidenford, Cindy Schnoke and Barbara Bassininsky.

Nieces and Nephews. Services will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 4 pm from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Green and Locust Streets, Tremont, with Elder Walter Kuehn. Visitation will be from 3-4 at the hall.
