BETTY’s Obituary Betty Davis Thelk, 91, of Vero Beach, Florida went to heaven Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. Betty was born in Esperance, New York and moved to Vero Beach in 1954 from Schoharie, New York. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Oneonta State University in New York.

Betty had taught school at Beachland Elementary School, Osceola Elementary School, Vero Beach Elementary School, and Fellsmere Elementary School. She then opened Great Beginnings before retiring from teaching. After retiring, she entered the real estate industry.

Survivors include her children Bill Davis, Donna Cooper, Bobby Davis, and Margaret Finch, eight grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. A gathering to celebrate her life will begin at 11 AM, Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Riverside Park in Vero Beach.
