Betty O. Craib, 94, of Conneaut, OH, passed away Thursday evening, June 7, 2018, at UH Conneaut Medical Center. She was born January 21, 1924, in Conneaut and was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Kanozz) Yesso, Sr. Betty’s death occurred on what would have been her 71st wedding anniversary. A 1941 graduate of Conneaut High School, Betty worked for a number of years at the G.E. Conneaut Base Plant.

She was a member of the Hungarian Evangelical & Reformed Church where she served as treasurer and Sunday School teacher, and later attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was also a long time member of Rose Chapter #22 O.E.S. She led an active life playing in the senior leagues in golf and El Camp bowling, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She was an avid supporter of them. Betty also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Survivors include her son Scott (Caroline) Craib of Columbus, OH; three grandchildren, Heather, Ian, and Colin of Columbus, OH; her nephew John (Judy) Yesso of Columbus, OH; and her niece Linda Worley of Conneaut, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Craib in 2010; her sister Margaret in 1932; her brothers Julius Yesso in 1965 and John Yesso in 1972; a nephew Richard J. Yesso in 1993; and a niece Margaret Watson in 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 16, 2018, in the Glenwood Mausoleum at Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut, OH. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund of The Villa At The Lake, 48 Parrish Rd.
