Kenneth E. Kempka, 83, of Conneaut passed away Saturday June 30, 2018 at Hospice House in Cleveland. He was born August 6, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Robert & Catherine Kempka. Kenneth graduated from J. Sterling HS in Cicero, IL in 1952.

Mr. Kempka served during the Vietnam War in the US Airforce from 1956-1959. After his discharge from the Airforce Kenneth went the Philadelphia School of Engineering and graduated in 1974 with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. He was a contracted engineer during the nuclear plant construction and licensing phase in multiple locations throughout the US.

Kenneth belonged to Evergreen Lodge #222 & Rising Sun Lodge #22, The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, North East #8, Peninsula Council # 87 of Allied Masonic Degrees, Knights of the York Cross of Honour Keystone Priory #26, Installed Sovereign Master of a Council of the Allied Masonic Degrees, Ohio Grand Council Order of High Priesthood, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Survivors include his wife Anna (Klein) of Conneaut, children, Anna Bennett of Toledo, Frances (Eric) Oles of Papillion, NE, Roland (Amy) Black of Denver, CO and Sean Black of Denver, CO; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and his beloved dog Toby. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Robert.

A Masonic service followed by a Memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:00 Noon on July 28, 2018 at Evergreen Masonic Lodge #222, 246 State St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030. Arrangements are in entrusted to Marcy Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St. Conneaut.
