Daniel S. English, age 37 of Conneaut, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. Dan was born on July 27, 1981 in Geneva, Ohio the son of James E. and Shirley (Jones) English. He was a 1999 graduate of Conneaut High School and went on to work at Greg Sweet Chevrolet in the parts and service department for over 19 years.

Dan was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. In his younger years he enjoyed being an alter server and playing sports, especially wrestling on the Cougar Wrestling Team. More recently, Dan loved playing domino’s, candy crush, and watching games shows, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud being his favorites.

He was a pool enthusiast and played in a “Pool Club” at the Conneaut Days Inn and loved all the Cleveland sports teams, the Browns were his favorite. Dan was preceded in death by his son Ty Matthew English in 2003, his maternal grandparents Tom and Rita Jones and paternal grandparents Carl and Dorothy English Terry. Dan is survived by his parents James and Shirley English of Conneaut, a brother James C. (Shawna Johnson) English, and Hunter Turri, who Dan “considered a son”, and one nephew Jimmy.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018 at St. Mary Church 480 State Street, Conneaut with Father Philip Miller of Corpus Christi Parish officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
