Mrs. Betty Sue May Higdon, age 86, of Bruceton, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at her home with family. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00PM on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Bruceton First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in Hollow Rock, Tennessee.

Brother Joshua Franks will be officiating. Mrs. Higdon was born August 27, 1932 to the late Oscar & Verda May in Huntingdon, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stanley Higdon; son, James Edgar Higdon; and sister, Mary Belle Smothers.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet Higdon Barcroft of Brentwood, Tennessee & Alice Higdon of Memphis, Tennessee; sister, Virginia Davison of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Destin Barcroft (Brian) Tucker & Holly Barcroft (Jason) Cousar; and five great-grandchildren, Logan Tucker, Grayson Tucker, Nathan Tucker, Graham Cousar, & Garrett Cousar. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and on Monday at the church from 11:00AM until time of service at 1:00PM. Pallbearers include Joe Smothers, Carlton Davison, Jason Cousar, Brian Tucker, Roy Butler, & Bob Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bruceton First Baptist Church. Dilday-Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 731-986-8281.
