Obituary for Betty Strong (Pate) Betty Strong December 21, 1931 – July 6, 2018 Betty Strong, 86, of Stephenville, passed away Friday, July 06, 2018 in Stephenville. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Bluff Dale. Stephenville Funeral Home will be in charge of services.

Betty was born in Stephenville on December 21, 1931 to the late Loree and Wesley Pate, but was raised in Pampa, Texas for the next 27 years. She was a church pianist, taught piano and worked as telephone operator. She married Donald Strong in 1950, and they had three children.

The next seventeen years, she lived in Norwalk, California, trained and worked as a psychiatric technician. She attended Rio Honda College of Whittier, California. Betty moved to Stephenville in 1977 and worked as an assistant at the Senior Citizens Center.

Her Husband Donald passed away in 1986. She was an avid organic gardener and learned and enjoyed pastel painting. Survivors include her children, Larry Strong of Stephenville, Paul Strong and wife Linda of Moreno Valley, California, and a daughter Susan Walker and husband Mike of Stephenville; 5 grandchildren, Staci Arpin and husband Tim of Stephenville, Micah Jackson and husband Kevin of Dallas, Nina Ferch and husband Rob of California, Nathan Strong and wife Cassidy of Moreno Valley, California, and Laura Strong Reed of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Krystyn, Serenity, and River Arpin, Justin, Tristin and Kaylan Reed, Ethan, Caylee, and Abigail Ferch, and Cameron Strong; sister, La Rue Virgillo of Rowlett, Truma Powell of Carson, California; and a brother, Marlin Pate of Bluff Dale.

She was also preceded by a brother, Loman Pate.
