Obituary for Jack Demetruk Jack F. Demetruk April 20, 1933 – September 4, 2018 Jack F. Demetruk, 85, of Stephenville died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in Stephenville Memorial services will be held at 11:00 Saturday, September 8th at Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary services will begin at 6:00 PM Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home, following the Rosary services, visitation will begin at 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Jack was born on April 20, 1933 in Fort Worth to the late Jack and Emma Kosarek Demetruk.

He graduated from Northwest High School, received his Bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan and his Master degree from North Texas. He spent most of his life in banking, serving as President of First United Banking Services. Jack served in the U. S. Army from 1955 until 1957.

He was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Stephenville, a member of Ducks Unlimited, NRA, Wild Turkey Federation, and many other business and civic organizations. He spent most of his life in Fort Worth, and the past 25 years in Stephenville. Jack is survived by his wife, Louise; sons, Mike Jay and wife Jan Demetruk of Burleson, and Patrick Scott and wife Katharine Demetruk of Stephenville; daughter, Linda Louise Demetruk of Weatherford; grandchildren, Matthew Demetruk of Burleson, Brett and wife Whitney Demetruk of Stephenville, Melanie and husband Scott Jones of Burleson, and Jackie and husband Sterling Foster of Clarksville, TN; great grandchildren, Ryan Jones and Cillian Demetruk; nephew, Jim and wife Sherry Davidson, and their son Patrick; and niece, Cindy and husband Cory Candahl, and their children, Carolyn and Courtney.

The Demetruk family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
