Obituary of Betty Sargent Betty B. Sargent, age 87, of Dallas, TX died on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas, TX. Mrs. Sargent was born March 30, 1930 in Columbia County, AR. She is the daughter of the late Jack and the late Nellie (Hawthorn) Harden.

Mrs. Sargent was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church of Magnolia and was formerly employed by Southern Arkansas University as part of the custodial staff. She was the widow of the late Howard Sargent.

She is survived by three daughters: Mary C (John Henry) Colvin and Virginia L (Lonnie, Jr) Harris both of Magnolia, AR and Harriett (Garnett) Smith of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; three brothers: Ozell Hardin of Bradley, AR, Elzie Hardin and Bobby Joe Hardin of Magnolia, AR and one sister: Lula Lewis of Richmond, CA. The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 31 at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel, 614 Calhoun Rd. , Magnolia, AR with Rev.

Darnell Ford, pastor of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Columbia 30, Magnolia, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 30 from 12:00 noon – 4:00 pm at Henderson’s Mortuary, 614 Calhoun RD, Magnolia, AR. Online guestbook available at www. hendersonsmortuary.com.
