Obituary of Betty Kvistad Betty Lou Kvistad, 91, passed away on January 22, 2019 in Bellingham, Washington, leaving a legacy of love and service to her family and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Betty was born on June 4, 1927 in Portland, Oregon to Russell and Sarah (MacPherson) Badgley. The family moved to Bellingham in 1935, where she met and married LeRoy Kvistad in 1953.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband LeRoy, and brothers Ed and John Badgley. She is survived by her brother Alan Badgley, daughters Joanna (Grant) Wilson and Laurie (Bruce) Gentry, grandchildren Matthew Wilson, Nicole Jones, Sarah Gifford, Tyler Gentry, Andrew Wilson and Nathan Wilson, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Mt.

Baker Care Center for their loving care of Betty and kindness shown to the family. Please join us in a celebration of Betty’s life on Sunday, February 3, at 1 pm, at Moles Farewell Tributes Greenacres, 5700 Northwest Ave. , Ferndale, with reception following.
