Our beloved mother and servant of God passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends, at the age of 81 years. Bev was born on October 18, 1936 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Earl J. and Phydelias (Sabourin) Brown. Bev worked for many years at Wolverine Knitting Mills and was a fine seamstress, always willing to sew for others.

She also worked for many years as a public school bus driver before retiring. She enjoyed music, singing, children – especially her… Read More » grandchildren, crossword puzzles, nature, and watching golf and football. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she took great delight in serving her God, singing Kingdom songs, and spending as much time as she could sharing Bible truths with others.

Bev is predeceased by 5 siblings, Gene, James, Thelma, Audrey, and Arlene. Surviving are her brother Robert, her four children, Robert (Maryann) Nix of Bay City, Dale (Renee) Nix of Bay City, Lori (Rick) VanOchten of Essexville, and Lisa Nix of Bay City; her grandchildren Angela, Rachelle, Amy, Travis, Sunni, Andrew, and Brea, and eight great-grandchildren. In accordance with Bev’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

Visiting hours will take place on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Trahan Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 24 at 6:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5435 Kasemeyer Rd, Bay City Michigan. A special thanks go out to Ginger Nahikian, Christina Jones, and the Staff at the Niche Aging Center for their wonderful loving care over the last few years.
