Virginia Marie Shipley, age 76, affectionately known as Ginny passed away on May 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family in Columbia, Maryland. Ginny was born on July 20, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Mary F. Fant (nee Smoak) and George W. Fant. Ginny is the beloved wife of Kenneth E. Shipley; loving mother of Toni Stauffer, Kenneth Shimmel (deceased), Franklin Kleinsmith, William Kleinsmith, Evelyn Riccio, Karla Schenning and Karen Mooring; cherished grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Also, survived by other loving relatives and friends. Family members and friends will honor Ginny’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, with a public visitation on Tuesday, 5/29/18 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Athanasius Church, 4708 Prudence St.,Baltimore, Maryland 21226 beginning at 2pm on Wednesday, 5/30/18.
