Beverly Ann VanMeter March 24, 1945 – March 08, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Beverly Ann VanMeter, age 73, of Fostoria was called home Friday, March 8, 2019 to be with her beloved Savior. Beverly was born March 24, 1945 in Pontiac to the late Cecil and Delcie (Lackey) Gaines. She was born again into the kingdom of God in August 1958 at Columbia Avenue Southern Baptist Church in Pontiac.

Beverly is survived by four children, Connie Sue (Matt) Lamb of Lapeer, Jonathan L. McCarty (Lisa Solomonson) of Michigan Center, Rachel Marie (Jason) Rushlow of Gwinn and Daniel Keith McCarty of Columbiaville; seven grandchildren, Rachel Ann Coon, Justin McCarty, Hannah McCarty, Caleb McCarty, Cody Rushlow, Madchin Rushlow and Shakira Rushlow; and a sister, Karen Sue (Michael) Unger of Metamora with their boys, Jason and Joshua. Beverly married William Dean VanMeter of Mildred, Kansas in 1984. She has two stepchildren, Lorna Violet (Tracy) of Silverwood and David (Lisa) VanMeter of Titusville, Florida.

Dean’s sister, Lorna Olson of Kansas was a kindred spirit and like another sister. Beverly loved to play the piano, sing, teach God’s Word, oil paint, crochet and sew, fish and garden, walk and ride her bicycle. She volunteered at the Mayville Area Share Shop for many years.

She will miss all her friends at the Share Shop and her friends at the Pleasant View Free Methodist Church and the Otter Lake Nazarene Church. She also loved her cats. The Family will receive visitors from 3-8 PM Monday, March 11, 2019 at Avram Funeral Home, 6028 Lincoln St., Mayville and from 10 AM until the time of service at the church.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Pleasant View Free Methodist Church, 8643 Lapeer Rd. , Mayville with Pastor Bruce Crockett officiating. Burial will follow in Watertown Township Cemetery.
