Beverly Ruth Thomas, 91, of Derry died Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Loyalhanna Senior Suites. She was born April 13, 1927 in Carbondale a daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Thomas Lane. She was an active member of the Living Hope Church in Whitney and was a retired registered nurse from Torrance State Hospital.

She loved being around her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Thomas and a sister Margaret “Peggy” Nagle. Beverly is survived by her loving children; Charles R. Thomas of Derry, Scot L. Thomas (Laurie) of Farmington, Mark J. Thomas (Leah) of Derry, Karen L. Matteo (Thomas) of Acme and Debra L. Gerhard (Michael “Mick”) of Latrobe.

Her sister Carole Davies of Augusta, Georgia. Eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Saturday at 11am with Pastor Keith Tucci officiating.

Interment will follow in the Coles Cemetery, Derry. A special thank-you to the staff of Loyalhanna Senior Suites for the exceptional care given. Online condolences may be made to www.
