Obituary for Billie Jean Scott (Windham) Billie Jean Scott, 80, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home. She was born December 16, 1938 in Aliceville, AL the daughter of Reb and Jessie (Woods) Windham. Billie worked at the Battle Creek Sanitarium for 10 plus years before her retirement.

She attended Mt. Zion A.M.E. Billie enjoyed shopping and sewing. She loved her family fiercely and loved giving gifts to them and her friends.

She had a contagious smile and loved to laugh. Billie had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Daryl) Blaine and Valencia Scott; grandchildren, Cody and Erica Blaine; sister, Juanita Whiting; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reb and Jessie and siblings, Mary Alice Daniels, Lucinda Windham-Long, Bertha Lee Moore, Hugh Walter Windham, Ethel Storey-Bennett, John Lee Windham, Irene Windham-Hubbard and Lillian Gean Settles. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with the funeral to immediately follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI.
