She was born April 6, 1930 in Trumann, AR to the late Clarence and Ethel Vickery. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Smith and her son, Sammy Wayne Smith.

She has 6 other children from that union surviving her, Gary Smith, Brenda Taylor, Rhonda Walker, Steve Smith, Jeff Smith, and Chris Smith. Billie was a devoted loving mother who served God faithfully and enjoyed her last 8 years being married to Harold Reid. Her union with Harold added 5 more children into the family.

She is the matriarch of a family totaling 106 individuals and lived to see the 4th generation. She touched so many and her legacy lives in our hearts. Billie is also survived by her brother, Bob Vickery; sister, Lena Lundlow; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ethel; brothers, Earl, Charles, Paul Vickery, Bill Haney; step-son, Harold Reid Jr; grandson, Jeremy Haynes; and great-grandsons, Alan Mikel and Dawson Eliason. Visitation for Billie will be held from 6 – 8 pm Monday, February 18, 2019 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan and one hour prior to the service at Coulter’s Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Coulter’s Chapel Church of God, 3176 E. Detroit Rd.

, Niles, MI 49120. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Donations may be made to a favorite charity of your choice or by sending flowers.
